Brownies
Every Monday night during term time an ever growing group of girls aged between seven and 10 years old gather at All Saints Fulham Church Hall for their weekly Brownie meeting (6.15 pm to 7.45 pm).
Being a Brownie is all about having fun and doing your best. We follow a Brownie Adventure which has lots of great ideas for challenges and badges, taking inspiration from people and events in our community. As Brownies we work in small groups called ‘Sixes’.
The Brownies are encouraged to make their own decisions about what they want to do in meetings called ‘Pow Wows’ and we try to make the programme as balanced and varied as possible.
For example, in the last year, we have held a Pet Show to raise money for the RSPCA; visited an Old People’s Home and told them about Brownies today; visited the Police Horses at Hammersmith; attended the Blue Peter Prom and had plenty of art and craft and other fun recreational and educational activities.
Almost one in four eight year olds in the UK is a Brownie. If you would like to join, please remember that the All Saints (25) Fulham Brownie pack currently has a waiting list, so please make contact in good time to secure a place. We would also love to hear from anyone who has an interesting skill or hobby or been somewhere exotic and would be willing to share it with us.
