Community

All Saints builds community and supports local people in many different ways.

The church:

  • provides night shelter and food during the winter for  Glass Door (formerly West London Churches Homeless Concern)
  • supports our local foodbank
  • provides lunch every Wednesday for parishioners
  • takes older people out of London for a day trip every summer and welcomes sixty “Wise Birds” for lunch at Christmas
  • hosts various community support groups
  • holds monthly services at the local sheltered housing complex
  • runs a variety of mid-week and weekend groups for Parents/Carers/Babies and Toddlers
  • is proud of its links with Fulham Palace and its work in promoting the historical significance of the local area
  • We are always looking for new volunteers.

If you would like to become involved please email Jess Armstrong, parish administrator, or phone her on 0207 736 3264.

Beekeepers

We have a keen team of beekeepers who tend to the hives in the vicarage garden.

Email Charmian to find out how you can get involved.

Cricket

All Saints cricket team plays a series of matches against other churches. These take place in May, June and July each year, on Saturdays at 2.00pm at Barn Elms Sports Trust.

The schedule for 2022 is:

21 May St Mary's Wimbledon

28 May Chelsea Parish

11 June St Martin's in the Fields

18 June St Paul's Hammersmith

2 July Pairs Tournament

All players are welcome, whether you’re a keen cricketer or haven’t played for some time, or a novice.

If you're interested in playing, then please get in touch with the captain Harry Gostelow. harry@gostelow.co.uk

Charitable giving

Every year we sponsor a number of charities by donating a proportion of the income from the congregation’s regular giving.  These charities are nominated by the congregation and assessed by The Missions and Charities Committee against agreed criteria.

We try to support local charities and make a difference to people living locally and where members of our congregation are helping.  Overseas donations are made on similar grounds, and are often spread over three years to give the charities some funding security.

Thursday lunches

Every Thursday a team of parishioners and members of the local community cook lunch for 38 hungry people. We ask no questions about why they are hungry but provide them with a hot delicious meal in the warmth of Pryors Bank.
