Junior All Saints Singers
Junior All Saints Singers (JASS) is All Saints Fulham’s children's choir, consisting of 30 to 40 girls and boys in year three and upwards.
The choir rehearses every Thursday evening during term time (excluding half term) and leads the worship once a month at the 11.30 am Family Service. JASS also takes part in occasional special services, such as the Community Carol Service during Advent.

There are no auditions – all that is required is eagerness to sing and a commitment to attend the weekly rehearsal and monthly service. JASS is trained and led by an experienced professional singing teacher, who strives to develop the children's vocal technique and instil a sense of responsibility for the choir's leadership of the Family Service liturgy, while working on a varied and appealing repertoire.
JASS's highlight for summer term 2010 will be a performance of "Captain Noah
and his Floating Zoo" at evensong in the church (6pm) on Sunday 13th June.
This wonderful choral work for children's voices celebrates its 40th
anniversary this year. It was written by Joseph Horovitz to words by Michael
Flanders, retelling the story of Noah in a wonderfully witty way, while also
remaining surprisingly faithful to Genesis. The music is an entertaining mix
of popular and jazzy styles, including a modern take on cantata-style
recitative, samba and square dance rhythms, and plenty of thumping good
tunes.
We will be singing the whole piece - lasting roughly 26 minutes - with only
one guest soloist: Graeme McCullough, All Saints's organist and Director of
Music, will take the part of God. Anne Marshall has very kindly agreed to
provide the piano accompaniment. The choir will sing from the choir stalls
and will use microphones to amplify some of the key solo parts.
Please come along to support us in this great endeavour!
