Hall hire

We are not receiving Hall Bookings for the foreseeable future as work begins on refurbishment of our facilities.

We’re fortunate to have a large church hall which is full of character, having been used extensively for church social events since the 1920s. It is primarily used by our childrens’ groups but is also available to hire for childrens’ parties. In addition, the hall benefits from a large grassy paddock which is an exceptional asset in the area, and may be used in conjunction with the hall hire at no extra cost.

How to book a one-off event

  • Complete our booking form and email to our parish manager
  • Your event will then be provisionally booked; forms will be handled on a first-come first-serve basis.
  • You will then receive our hire agreement
  • You will be asked to pay a deposit online. Please do this within 3 working days to confirm your booking and accept the terms of the hire agreement.
  • Use your surname and date of the event as a reference for payment.
  • One week prior to the event, you will receive a request to pay the hire fee. Please note  the deposit does not count towards the hire fee.
  • You will receive an email giving you the code for the key safe outside the hall entrance, allowing you to access the space. You will not receive the key code if we have not received payment.
  • Following your event, please email your bank details so we can return your deposit provided that the terms and conditions of the hire agreement have been met.

Hire charges

A one-off event in the hall and paddock is £45 per hour, with £100 deposit

Planning your event

Our hall is suitable for childrens’ parties only.

Parking

We cannot guarantee to provide parking. Hirers can park close to the hall entrance for unloading (a car barrier code will be given out with the key code) but guests should find parking in the local streets where the local authority charges for parking on Saturdays (9am til 5pm) but not Sundays. Please check the signs.

Bouncy castles

We can accommodate small bouncy castles in the hall and paddock. Please obtain prior permission from the parish office, and there will be an additional £10 extra charge. The equipment must be delivered and removed from the site during the time of the rental, and your castle provider must have comprehensive insurance.

Decorations

You are most welcome to decorate the hall as you wish but please remove all decorations at the end of the event. Any decorations left behind could incur a deduction from your deposit.

Catering and caterers

We do not have a fully equipped kitchen at the moment, therefore please bring cold food and drinks for your guests. Similarly we encourage hirers to use disposable paper plates and cutlery since as we don’t have washing up facilities or a dishwasher.

We do not recommend any particular caterers though there are local restaurants that will provide pizza and paninis, for example. Any agreement to hire a caterer Is between the hirer and the caterer. Please ensure your chosen caterer complies with our terms and conditions.

Cleaning

Please ensure the hall is left in a clean and tidy state, and that all rubbish has been taken home with you, as we don’t have rubbish bins on site. Some cleaning equipment is available (mop and vacuum) but please bring your own spray as well as bin bags and loo rolls.

Returning keys and deposit

Please leave the hall key where you found it in the key safe when you leave, and please email your bank details to our parish manager so that we can return your deposit.
