Charities supported

coffee morning

At All Saints, we give 5% of our annual Planned Giving donations to support charitable causes.

The Missions and Charities Committee usually meets twice a year to consider charities nominated and make recommendations to the PCC. The first meeting of 2025 will take place in early March

We welcome nominations for charities to support - please either send us an email or pass the details to one of the clergy or Parish Office

We have set some criteria which we weigh up when deciding which charities to support, which are:

  • Whether a member of the All Saints congregation is actively involved with the charity.
  •  The extent to which All Saints has already granted funds to the organisation and if there is an ongoing relationship.
  • Whether the charity is well run and appropriately funded.
  •  The local impact of the charity.
  • Where the charity works overseas, whether there is a direct link with members of the congregation.
  • Whether the charity's aims and activities are consistent with a Christian outlook.
  • Whether All Saints’ support would make a real difference to the charity.
  • The need to retain capacity to respond quickly to emergencies and natural disasters.

An article in the Easter 2024 edition of The Magazine gave more information about Missions and Charities, how the Committee works and how to make a nomination.
